A huge sigh of relief was heard…

A huge sigh of relief was heard when the first serious rains came last month and tested the integrity of the roof of Parkside Farm House where we recently replace the 300m² slate roof/felt and battens and installed 5 extra large, cast iron Conservation Roof lights. This magnificent Georgian building stands prominently on a particularly exposed part of the Cheshire plain and we were blessed with generally fine weather during the project with only two days lost to inclement weather.

Our Project Manager Faz Ghahremani and a joinery team commenced work this month on the conversion of a Methodist Church into what will become Chester Music Theatre, the business venture of two existing customers for whom we have completed loft and garage conversions, new kitchens , bathrooms etc. The project involves strengthening works to the floors for the change of use of the alter area to a 30m2 stage, complete with secret trap door, creation of new music rehearsal rooms and other essential works to get the theatre rocking! (metaphorically speaking) .We look forward to their first musical production; providing our singing joiners have switched off Smooth FM and left the building!

With the heavy rainfall recently, water tables have risen significantly and we have seen a marked increase in requests for damp inspections and some of the readings taken have been almost going off the scale keeping our Sovereign Chemicals supplier and the fitting teams and plasters fully booked.
